Palmarito Sea Turtle Rescue—The Mazunte Project – Mexico (2021)

Along the coast of Oaxaca, Mexico, domestic and stray dogs pose a threat to the sea turtle nests and hatchlings, including leatherbacks. The Mazunte Project will conduct mobile dog spay and neuter operations, plus education events designed to decrease canine predation of sea turtle eggs and hatchlings.
